With the increase of inbound tourism, the matter of communication with foreigners is gaining increased importance. We are launching a trial of our AI-based tourism and disaster management guidance service which is intended to serve as one more system that can respond to worker shortages and diverse tourism needs.
This service uses VoiceOn LLM, our platform that combines generative and translation AI, and can provide guidance related to tourism and disaster management 24/7, in many languages, and in natural speech. Having trained the AI with regional public data on Akihabara, we are able to provide highly reliable information to foreign tourists.
This trial project was adopted as a 2024 Tokyo Data Platform case study project under the name Multilingual AI Concierge Project. It will be implemented in cooperation with Hitachi, Ltd., Nightley Inc. and various Akihabara-related stakeholders.
